This post contains everything you ever wanted to know about the "Breakfast Assembly Station" I planned for my daughter's school.
If you are in the "What did I get myself in to?! I AM FREAKING OUT!" stage and are looking for step-by-step instructions on how to coordinate a breakfast for your school, don't worry. I've got you covered. Our post, "How To Plan a Breakfast for your School," will walk you through the entire process. Be sure to download our free planning guide too!
Our breakfast was more of a grab-and-go affair this year. This allowed enough time for everyone to order their drink from the coffee cart. (More on that below.) We had an assortment of bite-sized pastries, fresh fruit, Kind Bars, yogurt, and the like.
REMINDER: Take food allergies into consideration. Breakfast generally consists of pastries, donuts, and more pastries (maybe some fresh fruit if you are feeling healthy). There are always a few staff members that don't eat gluten or dairy. Be sure to include some breakfast items for them!
Other Breakfast Options
Every year I get requests for different event names (like Super Lunch instead of SOUPer Lunch), and I feel bad because I don't have time for custom orders during the craziness of Appreciation Season. This time around, I created printables for as many "Assembly Station" type breakfasts I could think of. If you would like to do something other than (or in addition to) a Breakfast Assembly Station we also have:
Oatmeal Assembly Station
Parfait Assembly Station
Waffle Assembly Station
(Blue) Drink Station
"Everything is Awesome... Because of Coffee" Cart
We always serve coffee at our Appreciation Week breakfast. This was the first year I had a coffee cart come to our school instead of coordinating parent volunteers to pick up pre-ordered coffee. My world will never be the same. COFFEE CARTS FOR EVERYONE! You can read all about the coffee cart logistics here.
