Dynamite Desserts - Western themed dessert ideas for teacher appreciation

The Desserts

DYNAMITE DESSERTS

The staff at my school is extremely health conscious. Don’t get me wrong. They enjoy sweets, but they enjoy bite-sized treats. We have had tables of desserts in the past, and usually half of them are remaining at the end of the day. This year, I decided on fewer, more fabulous desserts. Take a peek!

You must have a close up look of the horse cake pops. I am obsessed with them. And yes, they are as delicious as they are adorable. I love every single gorgeous treat. The shops I bought them from outdid themselves. I’m sure you want to know where I got these fabulous treats!

Cupcake Toppers from Cherry Bay Cakery
Sugar Cookies from Treats by Trish (now closed)

In addition to the desserts, I always include chocolate bars for quick grab and go treats on the run. Most of the time, teachers are on the run, after all!

PIE MAKING CONTEST

I have one more really fun option for you: a Pie Making Contest! This year, we had a Chili Cook-Off during Appreciation Week. I didn't want to have two competitions in the same week so we went with Dynamite Desserts instead of a Pie Making Contest. How fun would that be though?! I love pie. Check out my post about the Chili Cook-Off to find out how we did the voting and our grand prize!
